Sesame Street!! Who Didn’t Love Sesame Street!?!
On November 10, 1969, public television gave birth to one of the most influential programs ever created; Sesame Street. Since then, millions of kids have grown up learning about life and their ABCs from Oscar the Grouch, Kermit The Frog, The Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Elmo, Ernie, Old King Cole, and a whole host of other amazing Sesame Street characters.
Since its humble beginnings 44 years ago, Sesame Street has grown to reach almost 95 percent of all American children and the program is now broadcast to 140 other countries. The influence of the show is undeniable and entire generations have learned social skills and moral values from the carefully guided curriculum.
Over the years, many of the shows popular characters have charmed children and parents alike with their clever use of language and their helpful words of wisdom. What could be more fun than to share a selection of quotes from the cast of Sesame Street and remember the child in all of us.

1. Big Bird - “Hello boys and girls. Welcome to Sesame Street.”
2. Cookie Monster - “COOKIES!!! UMM-NUM-NUM-NUM-NUM!!!”
3. Kermit the Frog - “Hi-ho, this is Kermit the Frog here, reporting for the Sesame Street News.”
4. Elmo - “Oh look, it’s Mr. Noodle’s brother, Mr. Noodle.”
5. Oscar the Grouch - “Not my cup of mud.”
6. Elmo “Lala-lala lala-lala Elmo’s song. Lala-lala lala-lala Elmo’s song. Me write the music, me write the words, that’s Elmo’s song.”
7. Ernie - “Hey rubber-ducky, your the one. You make bath time lots of fun.”
8. Count von Count - “Greetings! I am the Count. They call me the Count because I love to count things.”
9. Big Bird - “ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ. It`s the most remarkable word I`ve ever seen.”
10. Old King Cole and Kermit the Frog tell a story:
Old King Cole: “What ho! Bring me my royal pipe. And step on it.”
Kermit the Frog: “Don`t worry, folks - we won`t go for the old joke.”
